Memorial Inferno

Memorial Inferno, 2022, is a memorial to all life lost in Colorado wildfires since the year 2000.
There have been at least 85 known major wildfires in the State of Colorado since the year 2000. Between the years 2000 and 2020 Colorado has seen a 10% decrease in tree coverage.
Memorial Inferno holds a tag for each of these fires to pay respect to the lives, homes, and nature lost. Many of these wildfires have been human-caused. Many of these fires’ cause is still under investigation.
As of December 12th, 2022, the NCAR fire was the only wildfire that had burned in the state of Colorado in 2022.
